Fortnite X Marvel: Zero War: How to get free in-game Marvel cosmetics

Marvel and Epic Games are teaming up for a new limited comic book series titles Fortnite X Marvel: Zero War. The limited series is set to kick off in June with the first issue coming June 8.

Marvel has shared some initial details about the five-part comic saga, which is written by longtime Marvel writer Christos Gage and Epic Games’ Chief Creative Officer Donald Mustard with art from Sergio Davila.

The comic’s story follows the inhabitants on the Island, who are locked in what seems to be a never-ending war, and only one thing has the potential to turn the tide: a crystallized fragment of the Zero Point that was cast into the Marvel Universe.

Perhaps more excitingly for Fortnite fans, each first-print issue of Fortnite X Marvel: Zero War will come with a redeemable code that will unlock a Marvel-themed digital cosmetic in Fortnite. Issues #1-5 will each contain a unique unique code and if you redeem all five codes, you’ll get a bonus outfit.

Here’s what type of cosmetic is coming with each issue:

• FORTNITE X MARVEL: ZERO WAR #1 – Outfit
• FORTNITE X MARVEL: ZERO WAR #2 – Wrap
• FORTNITE X MARVEL: ZERO WAR #3 – Pickaxe 
• FORTNITE X MARVEL: ZERO WAR #4 – Spray
• FORTNITE X MARVEL: ZERO WAR #5 – Loading Screen
• Plus any fan who redeems all five codes will receive a bonus Outfit! 

It’s worth noting that these codes are for early access to the cosmetics. If you don’t buy any of the comics, you are still able to purchase the individual items from the Fortnite Item Shop. You’ll just have to wait a bit longer. That being said, select in-game items will ONLY be available with the redeemable codes from the Fortnite X Marvel: Zero War first-print comics.

The Fortnite X Marvel: Zero War series will be available digitally or you can buy them from your local comic book shop.

Fortnite X Marvel: Zero War comes on the heels of the 2020 crossover, Fortnite X Marvel – Nexus War: Thor, and will feature some of Marvel’s most beloved heroes, including Spider-Man, Wolverine, and Iron Man.
